When my sister chose to have her bachelorette party in Nashville, I was so excited! After the excitement calmed down a bit, I realized, as the maid of honor, I would be the one who should be planning it. This was nothing new to me...except as the weeks went on...more and more people committed to coming. The final number was....26. Holy crap. How was I supposed to appease 26 females aging 20-65?!? This was, by far, my biggest planning challenge yet. When I sent the final itinerary e-mail out...it was over 6 pages. I was THAT person. The girls laughed and joked at my OCD pre-planning....until Friday night. After the pedal tavern tour, I had wrote in "On your own" as the night's plan. No one knew what to do. They looked at me and asked, "What's next on the agenda?". I just looked at them and said, "Whatever you want!". It was then that the group realized, trying to get an opinion from 26 women, who didn't know much about a city, would be complete chaos.
After the weekend ended and everyone got back to their real lives...I received so many messages from different girls who attended letting me know how appreciative they were of my planning...and the next bachelorette party they went on had too much wasted time because the planning wasn't as detailed. It felt great to have a successful 4-day weekend with some of the best people.
